What is your company and what do you do?

We are a company that helps landlords find student tenants in The Vaal and also helps students find private accommodation houses. We offer a platform that connects landlords and students, as well as a range of services to make the renting process easier and safer for both parties.

How does your platform work?

Our platform works in three simple steps:

  1. Landlords can list their properties on our platform, providing details such as location, size, price, amenities, etc. They can also upload photos and videos of their properties to attract more students.

  2. Students can browse and search for properties on our platform, using filters such as distance, budget, preferences, etc. They can also view the photos and videos of the properties and contact the landlords directly through our platform.

  3. Once a student and Agents agree on a property, The Student can use our platform to sign a lease agreement and move into the House. Both Students and landlords have access other services brainbox has too offer.

Why should I list my property on your platform?

Listing your property on our platform has many benefits, such as:

  1. You can reach a large and growing market of students who are looking for accommodation in The Vaal directly from our student database.

  2. You can save time and money by avoiding the hassle of advertising, screening, and managing your tenants.

  3. You can increase your occupancy rate and rental income by offering flexible and affordable options for students.

  4. You can reduce your placement admin by using our Marketing and Placement services to handle all your student communications .

How much does it cost to list my property on your platform?

Listing your property on our platform will cost you R100 if you are only listing it and would prefer students to contact you directly.

Listing your property on our platform is free of charge if you will also be using our placement services where our team will handle house viewings and also assist you with lease agreement signing for students. We only charge a small commission fee when you successfully rent out your property to a student. The commission fee is charged per student we successfully place into your property.

How do I list my property on your platform?

Listing your property on our platform is easy and fast. You just need to create an account on our platform, fill in the details of your property, upload some photos and videos, and submit your listing for approval. We will review your listing and approve it within 48 hours. You can then start receiving inquiries and bookings from students. You can also edit or delete your listing at any time on our platform by contacting our team.

Students

How do I find a property on your platform?

Finding a property on our platform is simple and convenient. You just need to create an account on our platform, and browse and search for properties that match your needs. You can also view the photos and videos of the properties and read the reviews and ratings from other students. You can then contact the landlords directly through our platform and ask any questions or arrange a viewing with our team.

How do I book a property on your platform?

Booking a property on our platform is secure and easy. You just need to select the property that you want to rent, confirm the rental price and the lease duration and book a viewing to choose a room. Once you've chosen the room we will then send you a lease agreement that you and the landlord need to sign online. Once that is done you will then  pay the deposit and the first month’s rent to The landlord(If you are not a bursary student). You can then move into your new home and enjoy your student life.

How much does it cost to rent a property on your platform?

The cost of renting a property on our platform depends on the property itself, such as the location, size, amenities, etc. You can see the rental price and the deposit amount for each property on our platform. You can also use our BrainBox Hub Services  to apply for financial aid, such as NSFAS, to help you cover your accommodation costs.
